Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Dance Gz ("we", "us") collects when you use this website and book our classes, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it deliberately simple: we collect very little, and we don't sell your data.
1. What we collect
- Booking details: the class, date and number of spots you select, and the email address you provide when reserving a spot.
- Correspondence: emails you send to us (for example, to reschedule a class or ask a question).
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information such as IP address and browser type for security and to keep the site running.
We do not ask for or store payment card details on this website. Payment is completed via the instructions in your booking receipt or in person at the studio.
2. How we use your data
- To send your booking receipt, payment instructions, and the studio address.
- To send reminders about your upcoming class and to notify you of any change or cancellation.
- To respond when you contact us.
- To keep basic booking records for accounting and legal obligations.
We only send marketing emails if you have separately agreed to receive them, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Booking your class does not sign you up for marketing.
3. Legal bases
Where data protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, we process your data on the following bases: performance of a contract (managing your booking), legitimate interests (site security, responding to enquiries), legal obligation (accounting records), and consent (marketing emails, if you opt in).
4. Who we share data with
- Service providers that help us operate — such as our email delivery and website hosting providers — who may only use your data to provide services to us.
- Authorities, if we are legally required to do so.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
5. How long we keep data
- Booking records: up to 24 months after your last class, then deleted or anonymised, except where accounting law requires longer retention.
- Support emails: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
- Marketing list (if you opted in): until you unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate data;
- Request deletion of your data;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Receive your data in a portable format;
- Withdraw consent at any time (for example, unsubscribe from marketing);
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@gzxhv.com. We respond to all requests within 30 days.
7. Children
Our website and booking system are intended for adults. Bookings for Kids Street Dance (ages 7–12) must be made by a parent or legal guardian, and we only process the parent's or guardian's contact details.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to booking records. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the data we hold to a minimum precisely so there is little to lose.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
10. Contact
For anything related to your privacy or personal data, contact us at support@gzxhv.com.
